When you log into Cougar CMS, the second tab is the Site Tree – a list of the website's articles. To access the tab, click on it directly or select Edit Articles from the Home tab.
When you create an article in the Site Tree, you determine its position relative to the other articles. The articles are organised in a parent-child hierarchy. Expand parent articles to view their child articles (by clicking the grey arrow in front of the parent article). The child article will display indented under the parent article.
The Site article is always the top-most article in the Site Tree. All articles in the site are children of the Site article.
In the example below, “CMS 5.0 Manual” is the Site article and is also a parent article (denoted by the grey arrow). The child articles are visible as the grey arrow has been clicked and points downward. To contract the child articles, click the grey arrow again.

The Reorder icon (

The Actions icon (

The New icon (

The Preview icon (
) previews the article as it would appear live.
