Shortcuts

Have you ever wanted to send customers straight to a pagewithout needing to guide them through your website? For example you might have a competition you want customers to enter and you want to be able to give them a short, easy to remember URL.

Shortcuts allow your customers to go directly to the information you want them to see. To create shortcuts in the CMS:

1. Find the article you want customers to see and edit it.
2. Click on the Attributes tab.
3. Find the Shortcut attribute and enter the shortcut e.g. competition09.
4. Save & Approve your changes.
5. Test the shortcut by going to http://www.mysite.com/shortcut.

Your shortcut can only consist of letters and numbers, no spaces or punctuation.

Bonus Tip

You can have multiple shortcuts separated by a comma/"," e.g. competition,Competition,competition09,Competition09.
