Renewable Energy Traders - Australia (RET) is one of the largest independent aggregators of Renewable Energy Certificates, offering processing and payment for renewable energy certificates (RECs).
RET Australia needed a secure, online, automated system that allowed installers to submit details of solar hot water panel and solar cell installations. The system needed to be able to generate all the forms the government requires with one click of a button, submit the certificates locking in the price of the day and track progress on them.
The online, multi user system we delivered for RET exchanges precise, real time information between an installer and the energy credit trader.
RET employees use the system to input the contact details of all installers. Each installer is provided with their own login information which they use when they submit installation details of Solar Hot Water Panels and Solar Cells. The system then calculates the Renewable Energy Credits, locks in the price of the day for those credits, generates forms and reports, and then submits this installation information to Renewable Energy Traders. In turn the installers get paid for their credits by RET based on this information. This system provides a precise and accurate record of the trade.
The system has been operational for 3 months and in that short time period has significantly saved administrative paperwork.
