The Department of the Premier & Cabinet runs a range of events from 2-hour courses to multi-day seminars. oneit designed an event management system to record event details, attendees and payments as well as track catering and room bookings.
The event management system (called GEM) interfaces with the government's accounts department (Office of Shared Services) through EDI. Invoices and receipts are generated by the Office of Shared Services and made available through GEM for forwarding to attendees.
The success of oneit's solution led the Department of Treasury & Finance to implement the same system.
